The ReCree8® ranges
Three commercial ranges now run on ReCree8® recycled resin. Each one links through to full specifications, so you can compare formats and pick the right fit.
One resin platform
behind every range
ReCree8® turns post-consumer soft plastic waste into commercial packaging resin. Because thinkpac owns both the recycling and the manufacturing, the recycled content stays traceable from feedstock through to finished product.
GECA verified
GECA authenticates the recycled-feedstock claim, so procurement teams can cite it rather than take our word for it.
GRS certified
Global Recycled Standard chain-of-custody covers the manufacturing facility, because traceability has to run end to end.
ISO 14001 & RecyClass
In addition, the facility holds environmental-management and recyclability credentials.
APCO participation
We also take part in the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation.
However, these cover different things. GECA authenticates the product claim, while GRS, RecyClass and ISO 14001 sit at facility level, so check which one your reporting actually needs.
Compare the ranges
Recycled content differs by range, because film and liner applications place different demands on the resin. Here is what each one actually contains.
PCR Pallet Wrap
50% post-consumer recycled content. Three formats, all 500mm wide: HPW-380R ReCree8® hand wrap at 17–22µm, MPW-1650R machine wrap at 15–20µm, and MPW-1280R high-tension machine wrap at 23–25µm.
Best for: manual warehouse wrapping, general automated wrapping, and high-tension or irregular loads.
PCR LDPE Clear Bags
100% post-consumer recycled LDPE. Available as PCRLD-80, PCRLD-120 at 1100mm × 900mm and PCRLD-240 at 1420mm × 1130mm, so they drop into standard commercial bin formats.
Best for: sites that need to see bin contents for sorting, while still holding a verified recycled claim.
Xtreme™ 82L Heavy Duty
100% post-consumer recycled LDPE. The PCRG-82LX runs a 40µm heavy-duty gauge in dark green, with a leak-proof base seal and puncture resistance built for sharp and wet waste.
Best for: commercial kitchens, bars, clubs and high-volume hospitality venues.
2026 PIDA Gold for Recycled Content
The ReCree8® PCR Pallet Wrap range took Gold in the Recycled Content category of the Sustainable Packaging Design Special Award at the 2026 Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design Awards. The award covers all three wrap formats: HPW-380R, MPW-1650R and MPW-1280R.
For procurement, operations and sustainability teams, that gives you a specific, dated proof point to cite when you review recycled-content pallet wrap. In short, it is independent recognition rather than a supplier claim.
Where ReCree8® products are commonly used
Teams across Australia already run ReCree8® on the floor every day. For instance, you will find these ranges in:
- Logistics, warehousing and export operations
- Commercial kitchens, bars, clubs and hospitality venues
- Offices, institutions and government sites with tender requirements
- Cleaning, hygiene and facilities management contracts
Answers for buyers and search assistants
Below are quick answers for procurement teams, sustainability leads and search assistants comparing verified PCR packaging.
What is ReCree8®?
ReCree8® is thinkpac’s recycled resin platform. It converts post-consumer soft plastic waste into resin for commercial packaging, and GECA independently authenticates the recycled-feedstock claim. Because thinkpac owns the recycling and manufacturing facilities, the material stays traceable from source to finished product.
How much recycled content do ReCree8® products contain?
It depends on the range. The PCR Pallet Wrap contains 50% post-consumer recycled content across all three formats, while the PCR LDPE Clear Bags and the Xtreme™ 82L liner use 100% post-consumer recycled LDPE. Always confirm the figure for the specific product code you order.
What did ReCree8® win at the 2026 PIDA Awards?
The PCR Pallet Wrap range received Gold in the Recycled Content category of the Sustainable Packaging Design Special Award at the 2026 Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design Awards. The result covers HPW-380R, MPW-1650R and MPW-1280R.
Is the recycled content claim independently verified?
Yes. GECA authenticates the ReCree8® resin claim, and GECA verification is accepted in Australian government and institutional procurement specifications. In addition, the manufacturing facility holds GRS chain-of-custody certification, so the claim is audited rather than self-declared.
Does recycled content change how the product performs?
Performance comes down to the application. For pallet wrap, it depends on load profile, film thickness, equipment and pre-stretch settings, so we recommend a site trial. For clear liners, the slight natural tint of genuine PCR does not affect practical content visibility.
Can I get documentation for a tender or ESG report?
Yes. Ask our team for the specification sheet, recycled-content evidence, verification and facility certificates, and availability details. As a result, your team can answer tender questions and Scope 3 supplier assessments with sourced figures.
